The Chiang Mai Gate
Stay at the Phor Liang Meun Terracotta Arts Hotel and be only minutes walk away from the popular Chiang Mai Gate. The gate was built in the late 13th century to protect the city from invaders, and still stands tall today. Each morning, Chiang Mai Gate Market features as a fresh market, with stalls containing delicious Thai fruits, freshly prepared vegetables and meats along with other Thai snacks. In the evening after about 5pm, this market turns into an outside food court, with various stalls serving all sorts of delicious Thai street food, snacks and other delicacies. A seating area is plastic chairs and stools is put out in the gate for guests to enjoy a seated street food experience at the Chiang Mai Gate Market.
